Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, acclaimed tennis players, donated AUS$ 250,000(US$ 172,000) at a charity fundraiser for the Australian bushfire relief fund in Melbourne on Wednesday.

Both the legendary players with 39 Grand Slam singles titles, were at the Rod Laver Arena to add to the already huge sums raised for the victims of the bushfires.

They were joined by other tennis legends, which included Serena Williams, Caroline Wazniacki, Novak Djokovic to name a few.

Tennis Australia said it expected to raise a few hundreds and thousands of dollars but it has raised more than AUS$ 2.8 million(US$ 1.9 million)
